me: okay. what do we need to talk about?
the kid: well, I need you to be really quiet while I'm playing my WALL-E Wii game. do you think you can do that for me?
me: um, yeah. I'm pretty sure I can.
the kid: thanks, mommy. I know you can do it. and I'll help you to remember, okay?

the kid: you're welcome, mommy. I love you.
