me: I'm so tired, I think my head is going to explode right off my neck.
the kid: have you ever seen someone's head explode?
me: um, no.
the kid: then it can't be true.
me: it could happen.
the kid: uh, no. it couldn't. so don't even try it.
me: okay, fine. no head exploding.
the kid: yeah. 'cause that's crazy.
