at bedtime last night...
me: bedtime. let's go.
the kid: I don't want to go to bed yet.
me: okay. but if you don't go to bed now, you'll be really tired in the morning, and you might not wake up on time and then you'll be late for school.
the kid (running to his room): c'mon, mommy! what are you waiting for?
