shhhh...

the kid was playing the wii, and the hubby was playing a game on the ps2. I snuck into my room for some quiet time... heard the kid coming and pretended to be asleep, so he went to his daddy to ask for a snack.

"we can't bother mommy because she's sleeping. she had a rough day so we need to let her rest."

yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna keep him. ;)

mommy snuggles

the kid: mommy, can we snuggle?
me: of course we can. climb right up here, snuggle bunny.
the kid: (climbs into my lap.) (happy sigh) thank you, mommy.
me: thank you. I love snuggling with you.
the kid: and I love snuggling with you. mommy snuggles are the best snuggles.
me: (happy sigh) and so are kid snuggles.

best egg hunt ever!

the kid wanted to do an Easter egg hunt but didn't want to go where there would be a bunch of kids... so we took turns hiding eggs from each other and hunting them in various rooms of the house. he then declared "this is the best egg hunt EVER!"
